Quick Answer
Magnetic golf technology can simplify the steps required to retrieve and return frequently used gear. With a magnetic towel, the practical benefit is a repeatable grab-use-return workflow, not a guaranteed number of minutes saved per round.
How magnetic towel access works
Current Aiming Fluid Magna-Anchor™ towels use a sewn-in magnet. The optional Magnetic Landing Pad is a steel-core docking target that slides over the golf-bag lip in the club-divider area.
The towel contains the magnet. The Landing Pad provides the steel target.
The Landing Pad is not designed to mount on the golf-cart frame. Its purpose is to create a predictable bag-side docking point when the bag itself lacks exposed steel where the golfer wants the towel.
Why access can feel faster
A golf towel may be used repeatedly during a round. Magnetic docking can reduce the number of actions required to grab and return it compared with opening a storage pocket or operating a clip each time.
The exact effect varies by golfer and setup, so this article does not assign a universal percentage or number of minutes to the benefit.
How access supports Scrub / Wash / Dry
- Scrub: loosen packed dirt with the dedicated scrub pad.
- Wash: use the wash pocket / ball pocket as a controlled wet-cleaning zone.
- Dry: finish with the remaining deep-waffle microfiber.
The magnetic system makes the towel easier to retrieve and return; the towel architecture handles the cleaning job.

Magnetic docking and the carabiner
Aiming Fluid towels include both a Magna-Anchor™ magnetic attachment and a sewn loop with a heavy-duty carabiner. Magnetic docking is useful when an appropriate target is available. The carabiner provides a conventional attachment option when it is not.
What affects magnetic retention?
Target material, contact area, surface geometry, sideways load, movement, moisture, towel weight, and debris can all affect magnetic attachment. A single headline magnet specification cannot describe every on-course condition.
Choose the right setup
- Stubby: 16×24 inches for a compact towel setup.
- The 40: 16×40 inches for more cleaning and drying surface.
- Landing Pad: creates a steel-core docking target at the bag lip between the dividers.
FAQ
Do magnetic golf towels save a fixed amount of time?
No. They can reduce retrieval steps, but the total effect varies by golfer and setup.
Is the Landing Pad magnetic?
No. It is steel-core; the towel contains the magnet.
Where does the Landing Pad mount?
At the golf-bag lip between the club dividers.
Is the towel magnet removable?
No. Current Magna-Anchor™ towel magnets are sewn in.
